		<description>John here, customer advocate at Dell headquarters. Just wanted to drop by to possibly save you some time. I don&#039;t know what our representative walked you through, but this problem is sometimes caused by problems in the LCD cable connection. If it is, then simply reseating the video cable (5 minutes of effort) could fix the problem altogether, without the need to have the unit sent to our service center.

The process is simple, and only requires the removal of the bezel below the hinges (no screws) and the keyboard (4 screws), and then you simply unplug the video cable from the board and reconnect it. 

If that doesn&#039;t work, then the system would have to be serviced.
